Fat Burning Foods - And how to work them into your Diet Plan
57
Nutrition is so important when it comes to weight management and looking good, and there are tons of fat burning foods that you can include into your daily diet that can really trim your belly. People often underestimate the effect of a quality diet over the course of a lifetime. One of the biggest things to implement in your life is a solid diet plan, and that includes fat burning foods.
I’m not going to give you a specific plan or recommendation, because a lot of this depends on your own tastes and budget. Remember, the key is developing a diet plan full of fat burning foods, which will result in a smaller stomach and you looking much better! Read on to learn how you can use fat burning foods to get the tight abs you have always wanted.
The Thermogenic Effect
The secret to fat burning foods rests on what is called the thermogenic effect. Without getting into the exact science behind it, it is true that certain foods actually encourage an increase in fat burning within your body’s digestive process. There is a certain disconnect with health professionals in terms of how much extra boost the thermogenic effect has on your overall appearance and body fat.
What I take away from this is that there are foods you should include within your daily diet that encourage the burning of fat. I don’t worry about exact levels of specific compounds; I just try to incorporate a variety within my diet (more on this later).
A word on Metabolism
The trick to fat burning foods is not only that they are low in calories and “poor” nutrients, but they also help to encourage high metabolism. Oatmeal is a great example of this, a bowl of oatmeal in the morning will fill you up, and it’s about 100 calories of whole grains. Having breakfast kicks your metabolism up about 10-15 percent per day alone, and by consuming a fat burning food like oatmeal your going to slim down that much more.
Food Consumption Patterns - How to eat more fat burning foods
A good rule of thumb when thinking about losing weight and getting into shape is the idea of closely examining your food consumption patterns. There are only a rare few that have complete discipline over their diet, so when thinking about burning fat look at your meals around a weekly schedule, and set rules. This has been one of my biggest assets for getting slim; setting a diet plan based on my food consumption patterns.
This is what I do:
- Eat 4 fat burning foods per day, and always 1 for breakfast and my final meal of the day
- Alcohol only once per week
- Beef only twice per month
- “Heavy Sweet” only twice per month
- Substitute one bean meal per week for a meat based meal
- Always take a half portion at restaurant
- Avoid soda
Fiber - The Ultimate Fat Burning Food Secret
Ok, so you can eat vegetables and protein shakes all day long to lower the number of calories in your diet. As human beings we need energy to function with a high metabolism, and that means carbs. Fiber is the best food you can possibly consume if you want to burn fat because it accelerates your consumption of carbs and helps clean your diet track.
